The landscape of Khaptad National Park is adorned with the 22 beautiful patans (moorland), lush forests, rolling hills, alpine meadows, numerous small streams, rivers, and serene ponds, enhancing its beauty and providing vital water sources for wildlife and local communities.
The park boasts over 567 species of flora, including 224 species of medicinal herbs with rare healing properties, 20 species of mammals, 287 species of birds and 23 species of herpetofauna. The area is extremely rich in medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPS)
